The Lowest Prices / Rates
At only forty dollars* per person. These are the lowest priced tours in Bar Harbor or on Mount Desert Island (per hour). *(Paid with cash or check, credit card is $45 plus 20% gratuity.)
The Smallest Tour Groups
I take a maximum of 6 people / 3 tandem boats on my tours. All other guides/
outfitters in Bar Harbor and on Mount Desert Island will take up to twice that many (I can take out a group of up to twelve by request. Groups larger than twelve can go out twelve at a time).
More Paddling Time
Because we are launching directly from the beach/bar without having to load up into a van and drive anywhere we will get around 3 hours of paddling time, more paddling time than others’ 4 hour tours.
Your Tour Will Not Be Cancelled
Unlike other kayak guide services in the area your tour will not be cancelled because only a few people signed up for that tour. You won’t have to change your plans at the last minute.
Explore the Islands
We will paddle in Frenchman’s Bay. On the regular trips we will paddle around three of the Porcupine Islands stopping for a break on one of the islands following leave no trace ethics.
See Wildlife
We are very likely to see porpoise and jelly fish and may see seals and on rare occasions whales. We will see many different birds such as cormorants, loons, guillemots, blue herons, kingfishers, eagles and osprey.
See Where You Paddled on Google Maps
Because I carry a satellite tracker after your tour you can go to the your trip page to see the course we paddled in detail on google maps.

Call to Schedule as Soon as Possible
The sooner you call the better chance you have of getting on the tour you want.
Plan Ahead
Plan on showing up for your trip 10 minutes before the start time. That way if you have trouble finding a parking space or finding the beach you won’t be late. If you don’t run into any delays and get there early the beach is not a bad place to wait for a few minutes. Bar Harbor is a busy place in the summer so please be considerate of the others in your group and give yourself plenty of time to get to the beach.
Be Informed
Before coming out on a tour I suggest you read over the FAQ page. If you have any questions that are not answered there do not hesitate to call.
